30 Day Lindy Hop Challenge – Day 1: How I got started in Lindy Hop

I first started swing dancing at the start of 2009 (about January / February). My housemate at the time told me all about it including the when and where. It sounded like fun so I accompanied my housemate to one of the drop-in classes. There was to be no easing me into the world of swing with a Charleston class. My first class allowed me to dive straight into Lindy Hop. I followed up that evening’s class by watching the more experienced dancers moving on the floor to the sound of the Black Magic Big Band.

Needless to say I enjoyed this experience to such an extent that I decided to continue attending classes and the rest they say is history…
