30 Day Lindy Hop Challenge – Day 13: Favourite dancing memory
Throughout the four years that I have been dancing, I have had a lot of fun and many fond memories. Probably one of my favourite would be performing at the Volvo Ocean Race Final in Galway in 2012. A group of us had the opportunity to perform two routines on the main stage in the docks area of the city. The routines were to the songs Mr. Zoot Suit and Sing Sing Sing. The performance on stage followed an appearance in the America day parade which allowed us to dance from Eyre Square to Spanish Arch via Shop Street.
After the performance on stage, we could continue to dance to live music from the West Coast Big Band and the Screamin’ Bluecats. We were all on a high after this day.
The fun and excitement I felt that day will remain with me for a long time.
