Active, busy day!
My blog isn’t a dear diary, what I did today type thing. It also isn’t going to become a daily log. I just think it is nice to declare the volume of activities that I was able to fit into today. After getting up early, I was able to get in a lovely, early morning hike on Abbey Hill in the Burren. In the afternoon, I attended a swing dance class for about 90 minutes before going into work a 4 hour evening shift on a voluntary phone service.
I felt happy and energised by the hike and swing dance class. I have been swing dancing for almost 5 years and I love it. I have been involved in workshops, performances, charity events, and competitions. As regards hiking, I was in the scouts as young boy of 11/12 and have always had an interest and love of walking and gentle climbing. I am in the process of joining a hillwalking club in Galway called Cumann Siuil Cois Corribe who have been operating a little more than 20 years. I am looking forward in taking part in many more invigorating hikes, walks, climbs, and adventures throughout the hills of the Burren and Connamara.
After a very full day, I will sleep well tonight to be ready to face the week in Lurtel.
